Why We’re Launching Our Snail Farm in the South West

As we prepare to launch Australia’s first commercial snail farming operation next year, one thing has guided our direction from the very beginning. The South West. Our entire team was raised here, shaped by the region’s landscapes, producers and long standing culture of care in food and farming. Choosing to build Snails Pace Australia in the South West wasn’t just practical. It reflects who we are.

A Climate That Gives Us the Best Start

Snails thrive in mild, temperate conditions, and the South West offers exactly that. Predictable seasons, gentle temperatures and reliable rainfall create an environment that supports healthy growth and consistent breeding. As we move toward launch, this climate gives us stability. The kind that allows us to plan, scale and produce year round.

A Region That Reflects Who We Are

Launching a new food production venture requires a place that understands quality, craftsmanship and responsibility. The South West has always been known for that. Our team grew up surrounded by producers who take pride in doing things properly, and that mindset aligns perfectly with the way we operate. Starting our snail farm here means building on the values that shaped us. Respect for the land. Commitment to safe and ethical food production. A belief that regional produce should stand proudly on the world stage.

A Venture Powered by Local Strength

Snails Pace Australia isn’t just located in the South West. It is driven by people who know it well. This region shaped the idea, the opportunity and the determination behind our launch next year. Being a team of South West locals gives our business authenticity at its core and the confidence to grow far beyond the region.

Launching here gives us the advantage of a climate that naturally supports strong, healthy snail production, along with the ability to build a controlled and safe farming environment that reflects the strengths of the region. It allows us to grow within a community known for innovation, quality and premium produce, and to create a product that carries the character of the South West into restaurants and kitchens across Australia and eventually across the world.

We’re proud to be local. We’re ready to be national. And we’re building for global.

Looking Ahead to Launch
